Motivation & Context

Two .NET sample READMEs don't match their sample code:

  • 02-agents/DevUI/DevUI_Step01_BasicUsage/README.md registers a workflow with builder.AddSequentialWorkflow("my-workflow", [agent1Builder, agent2Builder]). No such extension method exists, so copying the step fails with error CS1061: 'WebApplicationBuilder' does not contain a definition for 'AddSequentialWorkflow'. The sample's Program.cs uses builder.AddWorkflow(name, (sp, key) => AgentWorkflowBuilder.BuildSequential(...)).
  • 04-hosting/FoundryHostedAgents/responses/Using-Samples/SessionFilesClient/README.md says to "point it at an AGENT_ENDPOINT". The sample, and the README's own configuration section, use FOUNDRY_PROJECT_ENDPOINT and AZURE_AI_AGENT_NAME.

Description & Review Guide

  • What are the major changes? README only:
    • The DevUI step 2 snippet uses AddWorkflow with AgentWorkflowBuilder.BuildSequential, resolving the two hosted agents by name as Program.cs does.
    • The SessionFilesClient intro describes the project endpoint and agent name settings.
  • What is the impact of these changes? Documentation only.
  • What do you want reviewers to focus on? Nothing in particular.

I compiled README steps 2 and 3 together as a Program.cs in a temporary copy of the DevUI sample project. With this change it builds with 0 warnings. With the original snippet it fails with the CS1061 error above.

Related Issue

N/A - trivial change: README snippets and wording are corrected to match the existing sample code.

Contribution Checklist

  • The code builds clean without any errors or warnings
  • All unit tests pass, and I have added new tests where possible
  • The PR follows the Contribution Guidelines
  • This PR links to an agreed issue with no competing open PR, or the Related Issue section documents a trivial-change or repository-automation exception.
  • This is not a breaking change. If it is a breaking change, add the breaking change label (or add "[BREAKING]" to the title prefix, before or after any language prefix) — a workflow keeps the label and title prefix in sync automatically.

What changed in this PR

This documentation-only PR aligns two .NET sample READMEs with their existing implementations. No runtime code changes are included.

Changes:

  • Replaces the nonexistent AddSequentialWorkflow call with AddWorkflow and AgentWorkflowBuilder.BuildSequential, resolving registered agents by name.
  • Corrects SessionFilesClient’s introduction to describe configuration through a Foundry project and agent name.
