Summary

No HyperShift-specific changes are needed here: the che-happy-path test
already delegates to remote-launch.sh from eclipse-che/che main, which
supports HyperShift hosted clusters (eclipse-che/che#24007). This PR only
hardens how that remote launcher is invoked:

  • Download remote-launch.sh with curl -fsSL to a file and run it,
instead of bash <(curl -s ...): process substitution hides fetch
failures from set -e (an empty response would exit 0 and the job
would pass without running any test), and an HTTP error body could be
    executed as a script.
  • Run the remote scripts with a dedicated ARTIFACT_DIR subdirectory:
they wipe and recreate ARTIFACT_DIR on startup, which deleted this
job's already collected artifacts (attempt log, Che/OLM diagnostics)
and broke the automated failure report.
  • Install unzip in the CI image (needed by remote-launch.sh to unpack
    the che repository archive).
  • Update the prow job link in the failure report to the v22 job name
(the config moves to variant v22 together with the HyperShift
    migration in openshift/release).

Why (CRW-13524)

Companion change to the HyperShift CI migration: the openshift/release
PR switches this repo's jobs from full IPI clusters (ipi-aws) to
HyperShift hosted clusters and OCP 4.22.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Improved automated checks to distinguish infrastructure issues from test failures and keep failure reporting accurate across retry attempts.
    • Updated the link used to view test job reports.
    • Improved the test environment’s support for handling packaged files.

Download remote-launch.sh with 'curl -fsSL' to a file and run it
instead of 'bash <(curl -s ...)': process substitution hides fetch
failures from 'set -e' and an HTTP error body could be executed as a
script.

Run the remote scripts with a dedicated ARTIFACT_DIR subdirectory:
they wipe and recreate ARTIFACT_DIR on startup, which deleted this
job's already collected artifacts (attempt log, Che/OLM diagnostics)
and broke the failure report.

Also install unzip (needed by remote-launch.sh to unpack the che
repository archive) and update the prow job link in the failure report
to the v22 job name.

Explain Change →

Walkthrough

The CI image now installs unzip. The happy-path script checks the remote launcher download, runs the launcher with a dedicated artifact directory, records download failures separately from test failures on both attempts, and updates the Prow report link to the v22 job path.

Changes: CI happy-path setup

Layer / File(s) Summary
Happy-path image and execution
.ci/oci.Dockerfile, .ci/oci-devworkspace-happy-path.sh
The CI image package list adds unzip. The script downloads the launcher with curl -fsSL and runs it with a dedicated artifact directory. It records launcher download failures separately from test failures on both attempts, classifies download failures as infrastructure failures, and uses the v22 Prow job path.

Change: Bug fix

Merge Risk: Moderate · up to 6b057

The happy-path script now exits on the first failed attempt instead of retrying and posting the failure report, which weakens CI reliability and diagnostics. Fix the status capture before merging. The v22 job link in the report may point to a nonexistent run until the companion CI migration lands.

When the remote-launch.sh download fails, runHappyPathTest now returns a
distinct exit code (2) so main() can tell it apart from a test failure:
no test pod has run at that point, so classifying it from pod logs
wrongly reported "Test execution failure" (TEST category, "Retryable:
No") for what is a network/infrastructure issue. The new reason maps to
the INFRA category in the failure report.
